With over 30 hours of educational content and networking opportunities galore, Salon International 2024 was a fantastic platform for professionals to connect, learn, and be inspired.
Another great weekend celebrating all that is great about this industry.
Roll on 2025!
Frances Courtney from Denman: “Denman Brush had a great experience at Salon International 2024, with several highlights that made the show a great success. Our photo booth, where we offered free keyrings for a like, and tag was a huge hit.
It was a fantastic way to engage visitors and create memorable moments, while reinforcing the Denman brand in a fun and interactive way.
We were thrilled to launch the new D4 prints at the show, and to our surprise and delight, the cow print design sold out completely – who knew it would be a fan favourite.
Sunday was the busiest day for us. The quantity of international visitors was strong, with many industry professionals stopping by, along with a notable increase in students this year. Salon International did a better job this year supporting student engagement with more interactive and educational activities, fostering a positive atmosphere for the next generation of stylists. Although I still feel that students should have free entry if they purchase xx amount.
We missed a few familiar brands; however, it was great to see so many brands exhibiting alongside Denman, contributing to a dynamic and diverse show floor. We’re looking forward to continuing these connections and growing alongside the evolving hair and beauty industry.”
Mike Patey from Olivia Garden: “Olivia Garden’s participation at Salon International 2024 was an excellent opportunity to enhance team motivation and to engage with all aspects of the professional hairdressing industry.
We showcased new products and offered interactive stations, including meet-and-greet, hair cutting, styling sessions, and a lively drinks reception. The event was well organised, with high-quality, relevant visitors, especially on bustling Sunday.
The HBSA drinks event was a good opportunity to take time to meet with both existing members and prospective members.
We were delighted with the success of the weekend and look forward to returning next year.”
Jonathon at Alan Howard: “I would say another great show despite the continued lack of support from the larger, more retail-focused brands. Schwartzkopf continued to do their thing, which looked great as always and saw a larger presence by Indola.
From my point of view the show was good, I can only comment on what we did as I was too busy to see everything.
It was great to see that Wahl were back in force with Simon Shaw and the artistic team on stage and being proudly supported by Alan Howard.
Alfa Italia showcased their styling tools which were brought to life on stage by Peter Melon & Justine Macland. Ashlet Howard & David Audsley demonstrate the Alfa Italia Sessione Cutting Concept and Mellissa Timperley was supported by her Masterclass Team Sara Williams & Joe McMayor.
As Alfa Italia announced Mellisa as the new Ambassador and previewed the new MT Series of Scissors.
The new kid on the block was Shed, #salonhaireveryday who made their debut in full for the first time attracting much attention, supported on stage by Hair Socials who created amazing looks whilst demonstrating the product under the pergola in the garden.
Amika were back and had flown in many of their US artists, attracting much attention as always.
Furniture was represented by REM, Takara Belmont and Scorpian.”
