Supporting Wig Suppliers on the NHS Framework Agreement

Working in partnership with the NHS Supply Chain, we have developed a Code of Practice which we require all wig supplier members to sign up to. There are four main principals which form the foundation of this:

  1. The provision and maintenance of high-quality products, high standards of service and care in the delivery of wig products and related services
  2. To offer peace of mind to the NHS Supply Chain that HBSA Wig Supplier Members have signed up to and will follow the HBSA’s Wig Supplier Code of Practice
  3. The commitment to ensuring the well-being, safety and confidentiality of end clients who may be vulnerable
  4. The commitment by all Members to work together to ensure that supplying wigs is regarded as a trustworthy, open and honest profession by the public and wider medical professions

The HBSA and the NHS Supply Chain share common goals to ensure high levels of service and the supply of excellent quality products. All wig suppliers who wish to supply NHS Hospitals and Trusts as part of the official Supply Chain agreement, are required to be members of the HBSA.

The NHS Supply Chain manage a tender agreement which lasts for two years. Please be aware, that on occassion, this agreement may be extended up to a maximum of 24 months. If the tender process is successful, the wig supplier will be recognised as an official supplier to the NHS Supply Chain and your details will be available for all the NHS Trusts and Hospitals in the UK.

Annual wig supplier membership costs just £315 + VAT.
